The 20th International Symposium on Sound Engineering and Tonmeistering (ISSET 2025) was successfully held from October 8 to 10, 2025. The event brought together scientists, engineers, artists, and students from around the world to explore the many facets of sound engineering and tonmeistering.
Organized mainly by the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy at Adam Mickiewicz University, with co-organization by Poznań University of Technology, the Academy of Music in Poznań, Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts in Poznań, Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Centre, and the Polish Acoustical Society, the symposium highlighted interdisciplinary research on sound perception, signal processing, room acoustics, and more.
The three-day event was hosted across multiple universities in Poznań, underlining the city’s dynamic academic environment. It featured oral and poster presentations, workshops, and technical tours, providing ample opportunities for networking and collaboration. Dr. Jan Felcyn from Adam Mickiewicz University chaired the symposium, ensuring a rich and diverse scientific program.
